Story
A long time friend (actually, a friend from junior high) who is also into cars challenged me to paint an Audi grille into a painting inspired by my car. I drive a 2013 Audi S4 6 speed manual. Yes, I still drive a manual transmission car, I love using every appendage as I drive. Prior to me painting consistently, my car was my ‘white canvas.’ To show you how important it was to design the aesthetics of the car, I spent 6 months looking for wheels and suspension setup. For those also into cars, I lowered it ever so slightly (15 mm) and bought new wheels which pulled the stance out (11 mm) from stock. What really pulled it together was the 2 hour per wheel investment I made on making custom Audi center caps to fit the aftermarket wheel center hub.
When you look at the canvas in certain spots, you can see the rings peeking through. It’s subtle and simple, ideal for any Audi enthusiast. I absolutely loved how it came out. Enjoy!
In joy,
