I met Bill Harney from Keeping Current Matters after he spoke as a Small Business of the Year finalist at Infusionsoft’s annual ICON conference in 2016. He and his wife spoke with such passion about the impact their company was having on their clients, and their employees that I had to say something after his talk. Over the last year, he and I stayed in touch for a couple phone calls. I reached out with him to share the inspiration of his company, encouragement for other entrepreneurs along with some great tips for you.

One of his book suggestions for any entrepreneur is Michael Gerber’s E-Myth. If you haven’t read it, get it now. Bill shares, it can “unlock the inner entrepreneur in you.”

Here are a couple things that Bill strongly suggests as a way for you to be able to positively impact the world. If you are looking to build a business, get really intentional about why you do what you do, what your values are and derive a target-a mission. Get very intentional about your culture.

Bill uses the word confidence within his team and it drive everything because they constantly hear it. It’s the intention and repetition, walking your talk through it.
